f: [0,1]\(\to R\) is called delta function iff for each \(G_{\delta}\)-set \(X\subset [0,1]\), f(X) is the union of a \(G_{\delta}\)-set with a countable set. The author studies which continuous functions are delta functions and which functions of bounded variation are delta functions.
