The authors consider the equation \(x=K(x)\), where K is a nonlinear completely continuous operator acting from an open set \(D\subset L^{\infty}(\Omega)\) into C(\(\Omega)\) with \(\Omega\) a set in \(R^ m\) (m\(\geq 1)\). The analysis of the discretized Galerkin method is investigated in connection with the fixed points of K.
