In dieser eleganten Arbeit gibt der Verf. elementare und besonders kurze Beweise für die Struktursätze des Wittrings W(F) eines Körpers F. Grundlage dafür ist sein früheres Ergebnis, daß jede reguläre n-dimensionale quadratische Form in W(F) Nullstelle des Polynoms \[ p_ n(x)=\prod_{k\equiv n(2),| k| \leq n}(x-k)\in {\mathbb{Z}}[x] \] ist. Für diesen Satz wird hier ein neuer Dreizeilen-Induktionsbeweis von K. H. Leung angegeben.
