The snap-off of gas bubble in porous media is a complex unsteady free surface problem of gas-liquid two-phase flow. The result have been obtained by the one-dimensional analysis. But there is larger difference between results of theory and experimental data in the domain where the influence of liquid films on the snap-off is important. On the basis of e.g. the first author's and \textit{Chang Hsuehcia}'s work [J. Comput. Phys. 77, No.2, 340-360 (1988; Zbl 0648.76018)], we have developed a two- dimensional unsteady boundary element method, the results obtained are comparable with the experimental data in the domain where the influence of liquid film on snap-off is important.
