    The paper discusses three known ways of describing the Bruhat order on the symmetric group and introduces a fourth. This fourth description employs a distinguished linear basis of the Iwahori-Hecke algebra of the symmetric group and also makes use of the Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials.
