Let \(Z=\{a+\lambda_ 1u_ 1+...+\lambda_ nu_ n:\) \(0\leq \lambda_ i\leq 1\}\subset {\mathbb{E}}^ d\) be a zonotope. Call Z regular if the following hold: (i) all vectors \(u_ i\) have the same length, (ii) the columns of the \(n\times d\)-matrix with rows \(u_ i\) have the same length (in \({\mathbb{E}}^ n)\) and are pairwise orthogonal (in \({\mathbb{E}}^ n)\), (iii) the sines of the angles of \(u_ i\), \(u_ j\), \(i\neq j\), are all equal. Theorem: Among all d-dimensional zonotopes in \({\mathbb{E}}^ d\) determined by n vectors of equal length the minimum of the variance of the width is attained by the regular zonotopes.
