Keller conjectured that any tiling of \(R^n\) with translates of the unit cube contains a pair of cubes sharing an \((n-1)\)-face. The conjecture is still open. In 1949, \textit{G. Hajós} [Čas. Mat. Fys. 74, 157--162 (1950; Zbl 0039.01901)] transformed Keller's conjecture into a statement about factorizations of finite abelian groups. In the paper under review the authors give unified and simplified proofs for certain solved special cases of the statement.
