On the Cohen-Macaulayness of the associated graded ring of certain monomial curves (Q1267340): Difference between revisions

Let \(K\) be a field, and let \(m_0,\dots,m_{e-1}\) be positive integers which are relatively prime and such that \(m_0,\dots,m_{e-2}\) form an arithmetic sequence. Define \(A=K[[T^{m_0},\dots,T^{m_{e-1}}]]\) where \(T\) is an indeterminate. The authors give a necessary and sufficient condition for the associated graded ring of \(A\) to be Cohen-Macaulay which is ``easy to check''.
