The author presents a consistent set of hybrid finite element formulations for structural dynamics, related directly to the hybrid-mixed, the hybrid and the hybrid-Trefftz approaches. Two basic finite element models are distinguished in each formulation, namely the displacement and stress models. For decoupling the system of equations in the frequency domain the author uses a Fourier discretization. Numerical implementations are briefly discussed and illustrated with examples.
