In [ibid. 28, 59-74 (1988; Zbl 0658.54015)] \textit{D. Dikranjan} and \textit{E. Giuli} introduced an operator of \(\theta^n\)-closure and developed the theory of \(S(n)\) spaces, \(S(n)\)-closed spaces and \(S(n)\)-\(\theta\)-closed spaces \((n\geq 1)\). In this paper the authors introduce the notion of \(n\)-jump point and show that: (a) a space is minimal \(S(n)\) iff it has no \(n\)-jump points; (b) an \(S(n)\)-\(\theta\)-closed space is Katětov \(S(n)\) provided that it admits only a finite number of \(n\)-jump points and filters are uniformly \(S(n)\)-separated at each \(n\)-jump point. Then the paper contains two intriguing examples which are built to show that: (1) there exists an \(S(n)\)-\(\theta\)-closed space which is not Katětov \(S(n)\); (2) There exist a \(H\)-closed space \(X\) and a \(S(2)\)-\(\theta\)-closed space \(Y\) such that \(X\times Y\) is not \(S(2)\)-\(\theta\)-closed; (3) There exists a non-\(S(2)\)-\(\theta\)-closed space such that its semiregularization is \(S(n)\)-\(\theta\)-closed. This solves Problem 1, Problem 4 and Problem 2 of the above cited paper of Dikranjan and the reviewer.
