This paper studies the problem of evaporation from a spherical liquid drop translating in an electric field. The conservation equations for heat and mass transfer for continuous and dispersed phases are solved by a regular perturbation method in which the Reynolds number is used as the expansion parameter. The results obtained indicate that the electric field only alters the local temperature and concentration profiles. From the computational point of view, the current formulation is very useful and may be used to handle a condensing drop as well as nonlinearities arising from the interactions with the thermal radiation at the drop surface. Reviewer feels that this clearly written paper is a valuable contribution to the topic on evaporation processes.
