Let \(\mathcal F\) be a foliation of a Riemannian manifold \((M,g)\). Let \(H(x)\) denote the mean curvature at \(x\) of the leaf \(L\in {\mathcal F}\) which passes through \(x\). The author considers the foliations which are invariant under the local flows generated by the vector field \(H\). In the paper there are given some elementary properties of such foliations. Next, the author proves that if \(L\) is a compact leaf, then the \(\omega\)-limit set of \(L\) contains minimal leaves and that in the case of a codimension one foliation also the \(\alpha\)-limit set of \(L\) contains minimal leaves. There are proved in the case of an arbitrary codimension some integral formulas analogous to the formula \(\int_ M h=0\) obtained by Reeb for codimension one foliations. The paper contains plenty of examples.
