Consider infinite complex matrices \((P_{ij})\), which are row finite and have row finite inverses. The associated polynomials are defined by \(p_ i(z)= \sum_ i P_{ij} z^ j\). These are called effective at the origin if, for any function \(f\) holomorphic in a neighbourhood of the origin, there exists a series \(\sum_ i a_ i p_ i(z)\) converging to \(f\) in some (possibly smaller) neighbourhood of 0. In this paper the effectiveness for matrices of the form \(AB^ n A^{-1}\) is studied.
