Universal \(R\)-matrices and the center of the quantum generalized Kac-Moody algebras (Q1370805): Difference between revisions

The authors extend the results in [\textit{T. Tanisaki}, Int. J. Mod. Phys. A 7, Suppl. 1B, 941-961 (1992; Zbl 0870.17007)] to those for the quantization of generalized Kac-Moody algebras introduced in [\textit{S.-J. Kang}, J. Algebra 175, 1041-1066 (1995; Zbl 0835.17016)]. In the first part of the paper the authors construct an analogue of the Killing form and prove the existence of the universal \(R\)-matrix. In the second half a structure theorem for the center is given; in almost all cases when \(I^{im}\neq\emptyset\) the center is spanned by obvious elements \(q^h\), \(\alpha_i(h)=0\) for all \(i\in I\).
