A polytope whose center of gravity lies over only one of its facets is called monostatic. The authors show that there is no monostatic simplex in \(\mathbb{R}^7\). More surprising, there is a simplex in \(\mathbb{R}^{11}\) that falls onto each of its facets in turn. [For part I see \textit{R. J. MacG. Dawson}, Am. Math. Mon. 92, 541-546 (1985; Zbl 0578.52006)].
