The authors extend the previously introduced concept of conic self-similar flow to provide a basis for constructing a class of scaling functions that reduce the complete Navier-Stokes equations for homogeneous viscous compressible gas to a self-similar form invariant with respect to the equation of state. This invariance makes it possible to split the complete system of self-similar equations into two independent subsystems: a kinematic one (with pressure eliminated) and a thermo-kinematic one (with pressure and velocities eliminated).
