This treatise on discrete systems in three parts deals with the following topics: First, the stability of uncontrolled systems via Lyapunov functions and, second, the stabilization problem in the controlled area including the issues of controllability and reachability. The linearization problem is dealt with. The last part deals with cooperative and noncooperative games, taking account of controllability and stability aspects. \(N\)-person games are considered in a cooperative framework too. The development is illustrated by examples. Several appendices are devoted to basics of game theory. One finds references and an index at the end. The book is of interest to those studying discrete systems.
