A nonlinear evolution equation with an \(m\)-accretive operator and a single-valued continuous perturbation is studied in a Banach space. The evolution operator has compact resolvent. Under natural assumptions, the relative compactness of the orbit for a mild solution is proved. In the same spirit, conditions under which the orbits of bounded sets have compact attractors are derived. An example from age-structured population dynamics illustrates the abstract results.
