Methoden, die der Verf. bei früheren Gelegenheiten (1921/22; F. d. M. 48, 521 (JFM 48.0521.*). 1923; F. d. M. 49, 317 (JFM 49.0317.*)) entwickelt hat, die asymptotische Integration und die konforme Abbildung werden in diesem Vortrag herangezogen, um die Nullstellenverteilung der wichtigsten Lösungen von \[ w''- (1+z^2)w = 0 \] zu untersuchen. Das betrifft also die Funktionen \[ e(z) = e^{\frac{z^2}2} \int\limits_0^z e^{-t^2dt} \quad \text{und} \quad E(z) = e^{\frac{z^2}2} \int\limits_z^\infty e^{-t^2}dt. \] Streiflichter fallen dabei natürlich auch auf die Fehlerfunktion und die Krampsche Transzendente.
