Ist \(f(x) = c_0 - c_1 x^2 + \cdots+ c_n x^{2n}+ \cdots\) eine gerade Funktion des Geschlechts (genre) Null, dann wird die Reihe \(\sum\limits _{n=1}^\infty \root{2n}\of{|c_n|}\) stets konvergent. Wird sie divergent, so wird \(f(x) + f(- x)\) vom Geschlecht Eins.
