Verf. hat in einer früheren Arbeit (American M. S. Trans. 9, 373-395; F. d. M. 39, 386 (JFM 39.0386.*), 1908) die \textit{Poincaré-Cauchy}sche Methode zur Entwicklung einer willkürlichen Funktion in eine Reihe angewendet. Nach \textit{Tamarkine}s Meinung (Palermo Rend. 34, 345-382; F. d. M. 43, 397 (JFM 43.0397.*), 1912) entbehrt die Begründung der Hauptresultate des Verf. der nötigen Strenge. Verf. zeigt in der vorliegenden Arbeit, daß diese Ansicht \textit{Tamarkine}s unbegründet ist, und fügt noch einige interessante Einzelheiten hinzu. .
