Coppernicus' kleine Schrift: ``De hypotesibus motuum coelestium a se constitutis commentariolus'' ist zum ersten Mal von M. Curtze in ``Inedita Coppernicana'' (Leipzig 1878, p. 5-17) nach einer leider etwas unvollständigen Wiener Handschrift herausgegeben. Eine andere vollständige Handschrift desselben ``Commentariolus'' ist von Herrn Lindhagen in einem, der Bibliothek der Schwedischen Akademie der Wissenschaften gehörigen Exemplare von Coppernicus ``De revolutionibus orbitum coelestium'' (Basel 1566) aufgefunden und hier veröffentlicht. In der Einleitung sagt der Herausgeber, dass die Handschrift wahrscheinlich um das Jahr 1600 in der Schweiz oder im nördlichen Italien geschrieben ist.
