Schneiden zwei Gerade, welche durch den Punkt \(O\) gehen, parallele Geraden bzw. in den Punkten \(A, B, C,\dots\) und \(A_1, B_1, C_1,\dots,\) so ist bekanntlich \[ \frac{OA}{OA_1}=\frac{OB}{OB_1}=\frac{OC}{OC_1}=\cdots \] Dieselbe Proportion bleibt noch gültig, wenn die Geraden durch Kreise und die parallelen Geraden durch parallele Kreise um ein gewisses festes Centrum ersetzt werden.
