    Die Reduction des Integrals \[ y=\int \frac{Mdx}{N^{p+1}} \quad \text{auf} \quad y_1=\int\frac{M_1dx}{N^p} \] hat Euler in der Form aufgestellt: \[ M-pRN'+NT; \quad M_1=R'+T \] \[ y=y_1- \frac R{N^p}. \] Der Verfasser setzt nun \[ pR=-MA; \quad T=MB; \] dann bleibt nur die Gleichung \[ BN-AN'=1 \] Durch \(A\) und \(B\) zu erfüllen, deren Werthe sich auf \[ A-\frac KM N, \quad B-\frac KM N' \] erweitern lassen. Er zeigt dann an vielen Beispielen die Verwendung der willkürlichen Function \(K\) zur Vereinfachung der Reductionsformeln.
