    Das Integral, vom Herrn Verfasser auch in Clebsch Ann. VII. p. 257 (siehe F. d. M. VI. 1874. p. 240, JFM 06.0238.01) betrachtet, \[ J=\int_0^{2\pi} \frac {(1-\varepsilon ^2)f(\theta )d\theta}{1-2\varepsilon\cos (\theta - \alpha )+\varepsilon ^2} \quad (1>\varepsilon >0) \] hat für \(\lim\varepsilon =1\) den Grenzwerth \[ \pi [\lim f(\alpha -\delta )+\lim f(\alpha +\delta )] \quad (\lim\delta =0), \] falls \(0<\alpha <2\pi\); \[ \pi [\lim f(\delta )+\lim f(2\pi -\delta )], \] falls \(\alpha =0\) ist. Ausreichende Bedingungen für die Gültigkeit des Satzes sind die Endlichkeit und Integrabilität von \(f(\theta )\) im Intervalle 0 bis \(2\pi\) und die Existenz der Grenzwerthe \(\lim f(\alpha -\delta )\) und \(\lim f(\alpha +\delta )\).
