The definitions, notation, and background results necessary to understand the statements of results and to appreciate where these fit in the literature take up approximately half of this paper and cannot be conveniently summarized here. Suffice it to say that the authors investigate certain aspects of uniform convexity in Cesàro sequence spaces and apply these to a proof of normal structure and the fixed-point property of such spaces. In addition, the authors calculate the weakly convergent sequence coefficients for these spaces as well as the so-called packing rate.
