This paper deals with the error estimation and optimization for the frequency polygon method considered as a discrete-stochastic procedure for solving integral equations of the second kind. The construction of a discrete-stochastic procedure includes the generation of a discrete grid, the estimation of the solution at the nodes by Monte Carlo method, and the subsequent interpolation of the solution from its values at the nodes. The convergence conditions are formulated in terms of the kernel and the free term of the integral equation and the probability densities occuring in the stochastic estimate.
