This paper is concerned with elliptic boundary value problems with singularities. Combinations of Ritz-Galerkin and finite element methods are used to lead to global superconvergence rates on the entire solution domain. A basic theorem is derived for error bounds of global superconvergence in simplified hybrid combinations of Ritz-Galerkin and finite element method. Numerical experiments are provided to confirm the global superconvergence analysis made.
