The authors show that the general construction proposed in [\textit{V.~V.~Fedorchuk}, Topology Appl. 54, No. 1-3, 221-239 (1993; Zbl 0807.57014); Proc. Steklov Inst. Math. 212, 184-202 (1996); translation from Tr. Mat. Inst. Steklova 212, 193-212 (1996; Zbl 0882.57012)]\ enables one to prove that there exist \(n\)-manifolds, \(n\geq 4\), whose extension dimension equals \(|L|\). Here \(L\) is a countable complex for which there exists a metrizable compact \(B\) of dimension \(ed(B)=|L|\geq |S^n|\). Hence it follows that the dimension type of \(n\)-manifold may be any type of continuation \(|L|\) of finite dominated countable complex \(L\), for which \(|L|\geq |S^n|\).
