In this paper the authors find error estimates for radial-function scattered-data interpolants and their derivatives in the case of interpolation on \(\mathbb R^d\) as well as on the \(d\)-torus and the 2-sphere. The estimates of the errors result from estimates of the corresponding power functions. Typically, such results are of the form \({\mathcal O}(h^r)\), where \(h\) represents the mesh norm of the set of sattered data sites, and where the power \(r\) depends on the basis function \(\Phi\). The primary focus in this paper is to provide refined estimates for the constants inherent in the \({\mathcal O}(h^r)\) term. In order to achieve the corresponding results, the authors make use of the concept of so-called norming sets.
