The authors take up a sequence of linear positive operators introduced by \textit{V. Miheşan} [Autom. Comp. Appl. Math. Cluj-Napoca, 7(1), 34--47 (1998)] to study the order of approximation of a function \(f\) of a certain class, using (i) the asymptotic behaviour of \(f\) and (ii) the modulus of continuity of the derivative \(f'\). They also give a theorem on the approximation of \(f\) using the concept of the modulus of smoothness of the function.
