The authors deal with bounded sequences of critical points of a functional which involves nonlinearities. In general there are not subsequences converging in the \(H^1\)-norm; nevertheless there is a subsequence given by its weak limit plus terms which tend to concentrate around a finite number of points. The authors study the case in which the weak limit is zero and the concentration point is unique, say \(x_0\), so that apart \(x_0\) the functions and their gradient go to zero. The paper quantify this information by giving precise estimates on the values of the functions and the gradients.
