The ordinary Kuramoto-Sivashinsky differential equation is investigated. Especially, the existence of a heteroclinic connection for any value of a parameter in a certain interval is shown by Conley index theory. This includes the proof of the existence of an isolating neighborhood with numerical techniques which is the mayor topic of this paper. The vector field is integrated with a Runge-Kutta method on the boundary of the isolating neighborhood. A lot of implementation details is given.
