The Radon transform of functions f belonging to the Schwartz class \({\mathcal G}({\mathbb{R}}^ n)\) is defined by \(\hat f(\theta,t)=\int_{<\theta,x>=t,\theta \in S^{n-1}}f(x)dx.\) The author gives new and simplified proofs of the following two theorems: 1) Suppose that f(x)\(\in {\mathcal G}(R^ n)\), \(1\leq p<n/(n-1),n(1-1/p)=1- 1/q\). Then it holds \(\| \int_{S^{n-1}}| \hat f(\theta,\cdot)| d\theta \|_{L^ q(R)}\leq A_ p\| f\|_{L^ p(R^ n)}.\) 2) If \(\Phi\) (\(\theta\),t)\(\in {\mathcal G}(S^{n-1}\times R^ 1)\) then \(\Phi\) is the Radon transform of some f(x) where \(f\in L^ p(R^ n)\) for all \(p>1.\) Corollary: If \(f(x)\in L^ p(R^ n)\) for some p with \(1\leq p<n/(n-1)\) then \^f(\(\theta\),t) exists for almost every \(\theta\) and t.
