    The authors study the existence of two positive solutions to the singular second-order boundary value problem \[ x''(t)+ q_1(t) f_1(x(t), y(t))= 0, \] \[ y''(t)+ q_2(t) f_2(x(t),y(t))= 0,\quad 0< t< 1, \] \[ x(0)= x(1)= y(0)= y(1)= 0, \] where \(q_i(t)\) may be singular at \(t= 0\), or \(t=1\), the nonlinearity \(f_i\) may be singular at \((0,0)\), \(i= 1,2\).
