Let \(R\) be an associative ring with nonzero identity element, and let \(M\) be a finitely generated quasi-projective right \(R\)-module such that every proper cyclic subfactor \(C\) of \(M\) satisfies one of the following conditions: (*) \(C\) is a direct sum of a CS module and a module of finite Goldie dimension; (**) \(C\) is a direct sum of an \(M\)-projective module and a module which is either a CS module or a Noetherian module. Then \(M\) is a QFD module, i.e., each factor module of \(M\) has finite Goldie dimension.
