Let \((H_0, H_1)\) be a Hilbert couple and \(\Phi_0\) and \(\Phi_1\) be interpolation ideals of operators on Hilbert spaces. If \(H\) is an interpolation space of \((H_0, H_1)\) and \(\Phi\) is obtained by interpolation between \(\Phi_0\) and \(\Phi_1\), then the problem raised here is to investigate the relation between \(\Phi (H)\) and interpolation spaces between \(\Phi_0 (H_0)\) and \(\Phi_1 (H_1)\). For instance, for the Schatten classes and the complex interpolation method the formula \([S_{p_0} (H_0), S_{p_1} (H_1) ]_\theta= S_{p_\theta} (H_\theta)\), \(1/p= (1- \theta)/ p_0+ \theta/p_1\), is obtained. There are also results for the real method. No proofs are given.
