We present numerical simulations of complex fluid flows which are motivated by astrophysical phenomena. These systems include galactic jets, thermally driven convection in deep stellar atmospheres, and fluid turbulence in molecular clouds of gas in our galaxy. Very large computational meshes are required in order to accurately model these systems. Here, we discuss simulations with mesh resolutions as high as \(1024 \times 1024 \times 1024\) zones which solve over 5 billion simultaneous equations of motion, and require 28 Gigabits of system memory.
