The present paper deals with the following allocation scheme. Distiguishable balls, distributed into \(n\) groups with \(m\) balls in each group, are thrown into \(N\) boxes. It is assumed that all such allocations occur equally likely. Let \(B_q(n,N,m)\) be the event that contains all allocations whose boxes have no more than \(q\) balls from one and the same group (\(1\leq q\leq m\)). Let \(p=P(B_q(n,N,m))\). Using contour integration of proper generating functions, the author obtains an exact expression for the probability \(p\). He also studies the asymptotic behavior of \(p\) as \(n,N\to\infty\) and \(n/N\to\alpha_0\in(0,\infty)\). It is shown that \(p\to e^{-m(m-1)\alpha_0/2}\) if \(q=1\) and \(p\to 1\) if \(2\leq q\leq m-1\).
