The classical theory of currents due to \textit{H. Federer} and \textit{W. H. Fleming} [Ann. Math. (2) 72, 458--520 (1960; Zbl 0187.31301)] was extended by \textit{L. Ambrosio} and \textit{B. Kircheim}, from Euclidean to metric spaces, in [Acta Math. 185, No. 1, 1--80 (2000; Zbl 0984.49025)] where many fine results were explored. In the present paper the Authors give some further contributions to this theory.
