In this paper the author considers discretization of a partial differential equation by a two-level finite element scheme. First, a rough mesh step \(H\) is chosen, and a nonlinear system of small size is solved coming from a finite element scheme of order \(k\). Then the partial differential equation is linearized in the vicinity of the so obtained solution on the rough mesh. The second mesh step \(h\) is chosen as \(h=H^\alpha\) (\(\alpha > 1\)) in such a way that the truncation error on the refined mesh is of the same order \(O(h^{k})\). In result a large linear system is obtained. The solution of this system is taken as an approximate solution for the whole problem.
