Das Ergebnis von \textit{P. Furtwängler} und der Verf. (s. nachstehende Besprechung), daß in jedem Ring mit mindestens einem Nichtnullteiler die Addition kommutativ ist, wird auf einfache Weise neu bewiesen und verschärft. Durch Anwendung der distributiven Gesetze auf \((a + b) (c + d)\) ergibt sich: Je zwei Elemente, die Produkte sind, sind vertauschbar; für \(a = b\), \(a\) Nichtnullteiler, folgt das oben genannte Ergebnis, und nach eventuellem Vertauschen der Faktoren \(a + b\) und \(c + d\) sogar schärfer: Existiert ein Element, das nicht zugleich Rechts- und Linksnullteiler ist, so ist die Addition kommutativ. Insbesondere ist jedes Element der Kommutatorgruppe \(G^\prime\) der additiven Gruppe \(G\) des Rings Links- und Rechtsnullteiler für jedes Element von \(G\), d. h. absoluter Nullteiler. Hieraus wird eine einfache Folgerung gezogen für Ringe, in denen der Durchschnitt von \(G^\prime\) und der von allen Produkten erzeugten abelschen Untergruppe von \(G\) null ist.
