    Der Verfasser führt in dem besonderen Fall, wo die Funktionen \(P_{1},\;P_{2},\;\ldots\;P_{n}\) einer gewissen Bedingung genügen, die Aufgabe auf \(n\) lineare partielle Differentialgleichungen \(1^{\text{ter}}\) Ordnung zurück. Dieser Fall tritt namentlich ein, wenn \(P_{1},\;P_{2},\;\ldots\;P_{n}\) constant sind. Obgleich die Aufgabe einer weit allgemeinern Lösung fähig, und das Resultat des Verfassers bekannt ist, so empfiehlt sich die Methode durch ihre Kürze doch namentlich für Lehrbücher geringeren Umfanges und zum Vortrage.
