The author considers non-transferable utility (NTU) games and provides an axiomatization for the Maschler-Owen consistent NTU-value, which is based on an axiom of marginality, originally introduced by \textit{H. P. Young} [Int. J. Game Theory 14, 65--72 (1985; Zbl 0569.90106)] for the Shapley transferable utility (TU) value. The axiom of marginality requires that the value of a player to depend only on his ``marginal contributions''.
