The present paper is a continuation of previous works by the authors on triangular models of couplings of dissipative and anti-dissipative operators with real absolutely continuous spectrum [cf.\ Serdica Math.\ J.\ 31, 95--174 (2005; Zbl 1145.47011) and references therein]. Here, they consider closed operators whose Hermitean part has equal nonzero finite defficiency indices and a nonempty resolvent set. Their results include the possibility of a different domain for the operator and its adjoint. The analysis carried out allows them to investigate the asymptotic behaviour of the action of the non-dissipative process generated by \(i\) times the operator in the \(t\to\pm\infty\) limit.
