The authors discuss various equivalent forms of a theorem due to Datko, stating that a strongly continuous semigroup of bounded linear operators \((T(t))_{t\geq 0}\) in a Banach space \(X\) is exponentially stable if and only if the convolution operator mapping a function \(f \) to \(\int^\infty _0 T(t-s)f(s)\,ds\) is a bounded operator in \(L^p(X)\). One of the forms mentioned above is stated in terms of the invertibility of the generator of the associated evolution semigroups.
