A completely elementary and very elegant proof is presented for Müntz's Theorem, which asserts that the finite linear combinations of \(\{1,x^{\lambda_ 1},x^{\lambda_ 2},...\}\) are dense in C[0,1] if and only if \(\sum_{k}1/\lambda_ k=\infty\).
