In this paper the entire thermo-fluid-dynamic field resulting from the coupling of natural convection along and conduction inside a heated flat plate is studied by means of two expansions. The first one, describing the field in the lower part of the plate, is a regular series the radius of convergence of which is determined by means of Padé approximant techniques. The second asymptotic expansion one, requires a different analysis because of the presence of eigensolutions. The coupling of the two solutions is studied and comparisons with solutions existing in the literature are presented.
