The paper is concerned of the existence of periodic solutions of a neutral functional differential equation (NFDEs). First assuming that the the second hand of the equation is locally Perron integrable over \(\mathbb{R}\), the authors exhibit sufficient conditions to obtain the existence of periodic solutions for the NFDEs. This result is achieved by using a fixed-point theorem established by D. O'Regan. Second the authors applied the results of the first part to establish the existence and uniqueness of periodic solutions for a class of impulsive NFDEs. Some examples are given to illustrate the results.
