The author defines polynomial functions in 3-space that are equivariant with respect to the symmetries of a dodecahedron. Monte Carlo searches through the parameter space lead to functions that are experimentally chaotic and that have visually appealing attractors. The images are rendered by ray-tracing and an animation is created. Thus we deal with the construction of chaotic attractors with the symmetry group of the dedecahedron and the icosahedron.
